Reviews of those who grew the Rocco variety

Vladimir, 63 years old, Kostroma
The potatoes came to me from a neighbor in the country. At first there were only 5 pieces. Before that, I had different varieties. What attracted the new plant is that for 10 years it does not lose its varietal qualities, always a rich harvest.
Elena, 29 years old, Samara Region
I tried my sister's amazingly delicious mashed potatoes. I took a few tubers from her. I'll try to plant it in my garden.
Ekaterina, 43 years old, Novosibirsk region
Last year I saw an unusual potato in a neighbor's garden. Struck by straight, straight bushes with wavy leaves. I was even more surprised by the harvest from each bush. The neighbor gave 10 potatoes, put them in the cellar. I'll plant it in the spring.
Sophia, 34 years old, Sevastopol
I have not been gardening for so long, but for five years now, Rocco potatoes have dominated my site. The seeds are always your own. I want to say that the tubers are not too big. But it's convenient. And a high yield due to the large number of potatoes in the bush.

  1. Peter 1 has nothing to do with the "import" of potatoes to Russia. Under him, an earthen pear or "Jerusalem artichoke" appeared, and potatoes were brought to Russia under Anna Ioannovna (1730 - 1740).

    1. Hello. The Great Soviet Encyclopedia says the following: “The Free Economic Society associated the appearance of potatoes in Russia with the name of Peter I, who at the end of the 17th century. sent a bag of tubers from Holland. The beginning of a wide culture of potatoes was laid by a decree of the Senate in 1765 and the importation from abroad of a batch of seed potatoes, distributed throughout the country. " A number of other sources also speak about this. Indeed, potatoes became widespread later, but the article deals specifically with the first appearance. If you do not agree with this, then please indicate the sources, we will definitely study them, and, if necessary, we will add clarifications to the article.
