Summer is the height of the summer cottage season. The yield of vegetables and fruits depends on the quality of the effort expended. During the growing season of garden crops, especially nightshade, summer residents have to spend efforts in different directions:
- comply with agrotechnical requirements;
- carry out preventive measures;
- fight diseases and pest infestations.
The last point is very familiar to those gardeners on whose site potatoes, eggplants or tomatoes are planted. Many problems are created by the appearance of the Colorado leaf beetle in the beds.
He eats the leaves of not only the aforementioned crops, but also calmly contented himself with sweet peppers, physalis, petunia. Summer residents consider the pest to be a real disaster on the site.
If the planting sizes are very small, many are engaged in collecting adults by hand, but this does not save the site from the pest. More effective are special preparations - insecticides, which can reliably rid the beds of the annoying leaf beetle. Insecticides are chemical poisonous substances used to control harmful insects. One of the new effective means is the Kalash insecticide.
Description
"Kalash" is a new generation agent designed to combat adults and larvae of the Colorado potato beetle. The active ingredient of the drug is imidacloprid (concentration 200 g / l). Refers to low-toxic contact-systemic insecticides with a prolonged protective period. "Kalash" affects the Colorado potato beetle, getting into the intestines with food or through direct contact. It has many advantages over drugs of this purpose:
[get_colorado]
- Does not cause addiction among pests, which allows you to use it repeatedly.
- Potato planting is not negatively affected by Kalash, and the development of plants is harmonious.
- It works well in the heat, which expands the possibilities of using the Kalash preparation against the Colorado potato beetle.
- After treatment, the product stays on plants from 14 to 18 days and is not washed off by moisture when watering or during rain. Therefore, no re-treatment is required after precipitation
- Not only destroys potato plantings from the pest, but also prevents a repeated attack of the striped beetle.
- It manifests its effect immediately after application.
- The preparation "Kalash" is an antistressant of plants, which allows them to easily recover after being damaged by a dangerous pest.
- Good compatibility with other agents such as fungicides or herbicides.
The mechanism of action of the drug "Kalash" is based on the neurotoxic properties of the active substance. After exposure, the beetle is affected by paralysis of the limbs, then dies.
Mode of application
When using a product, it is important to know when and how to use it. There are certain criteria for any insecticide. The preparation "Kalash" from the Colorado potato beetle has an instruction with a detailed description of the necessary actions.
"Kalash" is used for spraying plants during the growing season. The product is produced in the form of a water-soluble concentrate. In terms of toxicity, it belongs to class 3 in relation to animals and birds, and to class 1 in relation to bees.
Before spraying, an ampoule of the Kalash preparation for the leaf beetle is diluted in 10 liters of water. The consumption of the finished solution is 5 liters per 100 sq. meters of area. There are other forms of release of the drug "Kalash" - a capacity of 100 ml or 5 liters.
However, the consumption rate and concentration do not change.
It is necessary to repeat the spraying procedure with the Kalash remedy for the striped beetle no earlier than 20 days after the first application.
The more carefully you spray, the more reliably your potato plantings will be protected from the harmful leaf beetle.
The drug has absolutely no effect at any dilution concentration. That's the whole truth.
