Motoblocks Neva: all models

The production of Neva motoblocks has been established since the 90s in the city of St. Petersburg. Now the technique of this brand has gained fame and is in demand in all republics of the post-Soviet space. Among the presented variety of units, the Neva MB 2 walk-behind tractor is very popular, but there are other equally popular models.

Getting to know the lineup

Motoblocks Neva are presented in different modifications, differing in configuration and technical characteristics. All models are capable of working with additional attachments, which significantly expands their functionality.

MB-Compact

The MB-Compact model is more of a cultivator than a walk-behind tractor, although it has a pulling force of 6 horses. Unit weight is about 70 kg. The technique belongs to the light class and is intended for processing not hard soil, haymaking, as well as other agricultural work. The motor-cultivator is equipped with an American Briggs & Stratton 6 horsepower gasoline engine. The filling tank is designed for three liters of fuel. The cultivator has four forward and two reverse gears. The gearbox is enclosed in an oil-filled aluminum casing.

The motor-cultivator is capable of processing soil up to 16 cm deep with cutters, while the working width is 65–100 cm. The compact model is easily transported on a car trailer, does not take up much space during storage, and the wheels can be changed to cutters quickly and without assistance.

MB-1

The complete set of the Neva MB 1 walk-behind tractor differs from the previous model in the transmission. The motor is installed exactly the same, with a capacity of 6 liters. from. But the reducer here is "Multi-Agro", thanks to which the traction force on the walk-behind tractor has increased. The unit boasts improved cornering maneuverability due to the possibility of separate torque off for the right and left wheels.

The model is capable of processing the soil with cutters to a depth of 20 cm. At the same time, the working width has increased and is 86–127 cm. The weight of the unit is about 75 kg.

Important! Depending on the configuration, the MB-1 can be supplied for sale with an electric starter and a headlight.

MB-2

This Neva walk-behind tractor with an engine from the American manufacturer Briggs & Stratton is characterized by a capacity of 6.5 liters. from. The gearbox on the unit is equipped with an additional range of low gears. There is a possibility of separate turning off the torque of each wheel.

Important! MB-2 is supplied for sale without headlight and electric starter.

The walk-behind tractor weighs about 100 kg. The cutters work the soil to a depth of 20 cm. The working width is 86–170 cm. The unit with 6 horses on light soil will pull up to 8 cutters. On clay soil, the number of cutters is reduced to 6 pieces.

MB-23B10

Heavy motoblock Neva MB 23 is equipped with a Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine. The engine power is 10 hp. from. The unit is designed for heavy loads, and is capable of grinding virgin soil with cutters. A motoblock with 10 horses can easily process even clay soil with 8 cutters. The equipment is equipped with a 5 liter fuel tank. There are 4 forward and two reverse gears. The depth of tillage with milling cutters is up to 20 cm. The working width is 86–170 cm.

Important! The MB 23 models equipped with a Honda engine from Japanese manufacturers with a capacity of 9 liters appeared on sale. from.

MB-23SD

The owner of the MB-23SD model will be pleased with the pulling power of the 5 horsepower unit. This technique is equipped with a diesel engine of the Japanese brand Robin SUBARU DY series with a capacity of 5.5 liters. with., as well as an oil pump. The tiller is designed for continuous processing of large areas with difficult soil. The unit weighs about 115 kg.The depth of tillage with milling cutters is up to 20 cm, and the working width is 86–168 cm.

There is also a Neva Pro version. This entire range of motoblocks is equipped with a headlight, and the manual start of the motor is replaced by an electric starter. But owner reviews say that it is not worth overpaying for such improvements. The headlight is practically not needed, and the engine is easily started up from the recoil starter.

Motor-cultivators Neva

This light technique can be called the younger brother of motoblocks. Motorized cultivators perform the same processing functions, but only on light soil. The most popular models are MK-80, MK-100 and MK-200. These cultivators use a gasoline engine. The MK-80 model is equipped with a Japanese Subaru EY20 engine with a capacity of 5 liters. from. Model 100 has several modifications:

  • MK-100-02 - Briggs & Stratton motor;
  • MK-100-04 and MK-100-05 - Honda GC motor;
  • MK-100-07 - Robin-Subaru motor;
  • MK-100-09 - Honda GX120 motor.

Engine power from 3.5 to 5 liters. from.

The MK-200-N5.0 model is equipped with a 5 hp Honda GX-160 engine. from.

Conversion of the Neva walk-behind tractor into a multifunctional mini-tractor

Many craftsmen have learned how to assemble a mini-tractor from the Neva walk-behind tractor to expand the functionality of the equipment. It should be noted right away that a powerful unit is suitable for these purposes, preferably from 9 liters. from. Before starting work, you need to draw a kinematic diagram of the future homemade product. It will help you have an idea of what you are about to do. An example of a mini-tractor diagram can be seen in the photo.

Making a mini tractor starts with a frame. It can be welded whole or broken. The second option is more difficult, but benefits from agility. The frame is welded from the channel. For reinforcement, use a profile, pipes or corners. The one-piece construction is a rectangle with a web for rigidity. The fracture consists of two half frames. They are connected to each other by a movable unit - a hinge.

All frame elements are connected by welding. Headscarves made of thick metal are welded on complex joints. An additional bolt connection can be used to reinforce the frame. You can make a one-piece structure or a fracture according to the proposed drawings.

A motor is placed on the finished frame. If it is located in front, then leave the native width of the wheelbase of the walk-behind tractor. When the engine is rear-mounted, the native wheelbase is extended.

A steering column is required to operate. It is usually removed from a passenger car. Hydraulic control can be found from decommissioned agricultural machinery. It is more convenient to deal with it, especially if the frame on the mini-tractor is broken.

Advice! As a steering wheel, you can leave your own handles from the walk-behind tractor. However, they are inconvenient to operate when reversing. It is better to put a round steering wheel from a passenger car.

The driver's seat should be comfortable. He is also removed from the old equipment. The seat is fixed to the frame with an adjusting mechanism that allows you to change the height and angle of inclination.

Wheels on a mini-tractor are often set from a passenger car, but this choice is not always appropriate. Here you need to correctly determine the size. It is optimal when the diameter of the front wheels is 12-14 inches, and the rear wheels are 18 inches. If the wheels are incorrectly selected, the tractor will bury itself in the ground or it will be difficult to control the unit.

The brake and clutch pedal is usually connected to the engine block using cables. The gear lever must be brought out near the driver's seat so that it is convenient to reach it with your hands. After completing the assembly, the mini-tractor is run-in. Only then can the homemade product be loaded.

Testimonials

And now let's take a look at the reviews of users of Neva walk-behind tractors.

Nikolay, 37 years old
I bought the MB-2 model to process my site. I also bought all the attachments.Metal wheels with grousers had to be made heavier by welding thick metal. From this, the walk-behind tractor stopped throwing on heavy ground. I have been using the equipment for three years now. No breakdowns yet.

Sergey, 45 years old
I have a small suburban area, so I decided that MB-Compact will easily cope with the work. Of course, the technique is trouble-free, but very easy. During work with cutters, the walk-behind tractor throws up a lot. From this, stability is lost, and the unit tends to the side. We'll have to try to make it heavier.
