Gamair is a microbiological bactericide and fungicide. It is used in the treatment and prevention of many fungal and bacterial infections of garden and indoor plants. On sale you can find a drug from different manufacturers. Its effectiveness depends on adherence to the instructions for use of Gamair for plants.
What is the drug Gamair for?
Gamair helps prevent and suppress fungal and bacterial plant diseases. The range of its application is wide. The drug is used to treat garden and indoor plants:
- white cabbage for bacteriosis of mucous or vascular, black leg;
- cucumbers without shelter from root rot, peronospora;
- cucumbers in greenhouses with root, gray rot;
- tomatoes without shelter from Alternaria, root rot, late blight;
- closed tomatoes for bacterial cancer, white and gray rot, late blight;
- flowers without shelter from root rot, septoria (brown) spotting, vascular wilting (tracheomycosis);

- indoor flowers for root rot, spotting, tracheomycotic wilting.
There are many ways to use Gamair. The drug is intended for the following activities:
- liquid spraying;
- processing potato tubers before planting;
- watering plants at the root.
In the photo there is Gamair in a package, but there are other packaging options - a cardboard box, a plastic can, a canister (only for solution).
Active ingredient of Gamair
The active part of Gamair is a hay stick (Latin Bacillus subtilis). It is a gram-positive, spore-forming, facultatively aerobic soil bacterium, which was studied and described in detail in the 19th century. It is obtained from hay extract.
Hay stick in Gamair - strain M-22 VIZR, titer 109 CFU / g.
Advantages and disadvantages
Gamair is attractive for a wide range of indications for use and the ability to process different plants. It also has other advantages:
- effective suppression of the development of pathogens;
- instant action;
- convenience and ease of use;
- safety for people, birds and animals, the environment;
- the harvest after the treatment of crops with the drug is environmentally friendly and safe;
- the content of vitamins increases in products;
- yield increases;
- the fruits become tastier, juicier and more aromatic.
The only disadvantage of Gamair is ineffectiveness in advanced diseases.
Instructions for use of the drug Gamair
The effectiveness of any product depends on its correct use. Instructions for the use of Gamair tablets are simple:
- Dip the required number of tablets in 0.2-0.3 liters of water. It should be at room temperature.
- Wait until the product dissolves.
- Pour the resulting solution into water, the volume depends on the plant for which the agent is intended and the reason for the treatment.
It is important to correctly calculate the amount of the drug. Ways of using Gamair tablets and other features in the table:
Number of tablets and volume of water | Object being processed | Appointment | Application |
1-2 in 10 liters for irrigation, 5-10 for 10 liters for spraying | White cabbage | Prevention of black rot during planting, bacteriosis during growth | Water the soil 1-3 days before sowing seeds, 1 liter per 1 m². Spray when 4-5 true leaves appear, then twice in 2-3 weeks increments - spend 1 liter per 10 m² |
Covered cucumbers | Fighting and preventing root and gray rot | Water similarly to white cabbage. In the season, immediately if you suspect a disease, spray the plants - 1.5 liters per 10 m², twice with a step of 15 days
Cucumbers without shelter | Prevention of root rot during sowing, treatment and prevention of peronosporosis during the growing season | Watering is similar to cabbage. In season, spray like cucumbers under cover, but 3 times
Tomatoes under cover | Treatment and prevention of bacterial cancer, white and gray rot, late blight | Water like a cabbage. During the growing season, at the first signs of damage, spray the plants three times similarly to cucumbers, but with an interval of 1-2 weeks
Tomatoes without shelter | Treatment and prevention of root and root rot, alternaria, late blight | Water in the standard way. Spray similarly to tomatoes under cover
1 x 5 l | Flowers without shelter | Fight and prevention of tracheomycosis, root rot | In season, apply at the root 3 times in 15-day increments. For 1 m², 5 liters of ready-made product is required |
2 for 1 l | Flowers without shelter | Treatment and prevention of septoria spot | Spray during the growing season three times after 15 days. Consume 1 liter per 10 m² |
1-2 in 2 l | Apple trees | Treatment and prevention of monilial burn, scab | Spray at the rosebud stage, after flowering, when the fruit grows to the size of a hazelnut. For 10 m², consume 1 liter of solution |
1 to 1 l | Indoor flowers | Prevention and control of root rot and tracheomycotic wilting | Water the soil, spending 0.1-1 liters, depending on the size of the pot. Process three times in 2 week increments |
2 for 1 l | Indoor flowers | Treatment and prevention of anthracnose | Spray during the growing season 3 times with an interval of 2 weeks. For 1 m², 0.1-0.2 l of solution is required |
In addition to the tablet form, Gamair is sold as a suspension concentrate. It is usually sold in 5 liter cans. It is used for watering and spraying cucumbers and tomatoes under cover.
Tomatoes with a Gamair suspension concentrate are processed 5-6 times:
- 1-3 days before sowing seeds;
- before planting seedlings in a permanent place;
- a month after disembarking seedlings;
- 2-3 more treatments with an interval of 2-4 weeks.
A suspension of the preparation for tomatoes is also used as spraying. During the growing season, they are carried out with a break of 2-4 weeks. For irrigation, 3 liters of solution are consumed per hectare, for spraying, 0.5-2 liters.
Cucumbers are watered with a solution of a suspension from root and root rot, tracheomycotic wilting. Spraying is carried out against powdery mildew and peronosporosis. The application is similar to tomatoes.
A working solution from a suspension for irrigation is prepared as follows:
- Fill the sprayer one third with water at room temperature.
- Pour in the suspension.
- Stir the liquids until uniform.
- Bring the solution to the required volume with water.
Gamair is sold in the form of a wettable powder. It is used for processing not only garden and fruit crops, but also spring and winter wheat.
Tomato seeds for indoor soil are soaked in a solution of Gamair powder before sowing for 1-2 hours to protect against bacterial cancer, white and gray rot, late blight. 1 kg of material requires 1 liter of working solution. The processed seeds are dried.
Tomatoes for protected ground from the same diseases are sprayed at the first symptoms, spending 0.5-3 tons per hectare. The treatment is repeated 2 more times with a step of 1.5-3 weeks.
Cucumbers with a solution of Gamair from powder protect against various rot, tracheomycotic wilting, powdery mildew. The processing options are as follows:
- watering the soil half a month after planting seedlings, twice more with an interval of 3 weeks, consumption of 0.5-3 tablets per 1 ha;
- spraying at the first symptoms, then after 3 weeks, the consumption is the same.
Gamair powder is first dissolved in 5-10 liters of water, then prepared similarly to the suspension concentrate.
When using Gamair, it is important to consider its compatibility with other drugs. The simultaneous use of such funds is allowed:
- growth regulators;
- fertilizers;
- microbiological plant protection products;
- fungicides;
- insecticides;
- chemical herbicides.
Precautions
Gamair is a pesticide, therefore it must be used, stored and transported correctly. The following points are important:

- suspension concentrate (solution) can be used within 3 months from the date of manufacture, it must be stored at a positive temperature of 2-8 ° C.
Conclusion
Gamair is an effective biological bactericide with a broad spectrum of action. It is used for fungal and bacterial infections of plants. There are several forms of release of the drug, but all of them are intended for the preparation of a solution for watering or spraying.
