Tomatoes Lyubasha F1

The soul and heart of any gardener strives to plant the earliest varieties among other garden crops, so as to get satisfaction from their work as early as possible. The taste and yield characteristics of the variety are no longer so important - the main thing is that it ripens before everyone else. Therefore, super-early varieties of tomatoes are so popular - some of them, when planted early in greenhouses, can be harvested as early as June.

And there is an addition to this shelf of early tomatoes - literally a year ago, the Lyubasha tomato variety appeared and has already managed to attract attention with its numerous advantages. Actually, Lyubasha is not a tomato variety at all, but a hybrid, but many gardeners are quite satisfied with the situation of buying fresh seeds every year in a store, so they do not strive to grow varieties. But Lyubasha is unique, since she has qualities and characteristics that are not at all characteristic of either hybrids or early tomatoes. But now about everything in order.

Description of hybrid features

In 2016, the breeders of the partner agricultural firm obtained a new tomato hybrid - Lyubasha F1. In 2017, the hybrid was officially entered into the State Register with a recommendation for growing in all regions of Russia, both in open and protected ground.

Plants of tomato Lyubasha are determinant, that is, the growth of the bush is limited when it reaches one meter in height.

Attention! Despite the fact that tomato bushes can be classified as medium-sized, they need a mandatory garter to support and pinch.

Tomato plants Lyubasha are equally well adapted to the growth and fruit setting both in the open field and in greenhouses, but in the greenhouse the yield will be somewhat larger.

The bushes have a rather compact, oval shape, the stems have an average number of small leaves, bright green in color.

To obtain the optimal yield, it is recommended to form the bushes of the Lyubasha tomato into 2-3 stems, depending on the planting density. If you plant no more than 4 plants per square meter, then it is possible to form 3 stems, for which one stepson is left under the first flower brush and the other growing over the same brush.

In the case of a closer planting, it is better to leave only 2 stems on Lyubasha's bushes - the main and auxiliary under the first flower brush. All other side shoots must be removed as they form.

Comment! The first inflorescence in the Lyubasha hybrid is usually laid above 5-6 leaves. It is simple, on average 7-8 fruits ripen in it.

The Lyubasha hybrid stands out with an interesting feature - some plants are able to form as many as two peduncles in one internode, and each of them will have full fruits in each brush. And this fact in no way distracts the formation of fruit clusters in the following internodes.

In terms of ripening, as already mentioned, the Lyubasha tomato belongs not only to early-ripening tomatoes, but even to ultra-early ones. Since the first ripe fruits can be obtained within 65-75 days after germination. Usually, early varieties of tomatoes are not very productive, gardeners are quite satisfied with the very appearance of the first tomatoes. But the tomato Lyubasha F1 also has amazing yield characteristics. In the description of the hybrid, it is indicated that the yield of marketable fruits is about 20 kg per square meter. This means that on average 4-5 kg of selected tomatoes can be harvested from one bush.

As for resistance to major diseases, there is no surprise here - hybrids in general, and Lyubasha, in particular, is distinguished by resistance to unfavorable growth factors, including major diseases characteristic of tomatoes.

Important! Lyubash tomatoes are resistant to top rot of fruits, and are quite tolerant to Alternaria, late blight and TMV.

Fruit characteristics

The shape of Lyubasha tomatoes is mostly rounded with small folds in the region of the stalk, slightly flattened. In an unripe form, the fruits are light green in color, in the ripening stage they are bright red.

Tomatoes have a very nice appearance - dense, with smooth skin, fleshy flesh with a pinkish tinge. The fruits are not prone to cracking even in rainy and cold weather. There are not very many seeds in the fruits, the number of seed nests is 3-4.

Tomatoes ripen quite amicably and gain weight on average 120-150 grams. Due to their convenient size, the fruits are suitable both for fresh salads and for whole preservation. Although their purpose is truly universal - delicious tomato juice will turn out from Lyubasha tomatoes, they can serve as a delicacy in pickled form and they make unmatched sun-dried tomatoes.

The taste characteristics of tomatoes are amazing - experts rate them excellently, which is a rarity for both hybrids and early tomatoes. In addition, due to the rather dense skin, Lyubasha tomatoes are well stored and are quite capable of withstanding long-term transportation.

Growing features

Despite the early maturity, in most regions of Russia, it is advisable to grow the Lyubasha hybrid through seedlings. Seeds can be sown directly into the ground only in the southern regions. For seedlings, seeds are sown about 50 days before the expected date of planting in a greenhouse or in a permanent place in the garden.

Lyubasha's seedlings usually look pretty strong. When she has two or three real leaves, it is advisable to feed her with some kind of natural organic fertilizer. Although, if you planted plants in a humus-rich mixture during a pick, then no additional fertilizing is required before planting in the ground.

One square meter can accommodate from 4 to 6 tomato bushes. Despite the small height of the bushes, it is still better to tie them to the supports, since due to the heavy load of the harvest, tomatoes risk being on the ground. The stems themselves grow quite thick and are often even thicker than the stakes to which they are tied.

Advice! Microbiological preparations can be used as preventive measures against possible diseases: glyocladin tablets are placed one in each well when planting bushes in a permanent place.

During the entire growing season, you can feed the tomato bushes several more times - spray them with a solution of wood ash or EM preparations.

In the future, the care of the plants of Lyubasha's tomatoes is standard - watering, loosening or mulching, removing weeds, and, of course, harvesting.

Reviews of gardeners

Since the Lyubasha hybrid appeared on the Russian market quite recently - almost a year ago, there are still not many reviews on it. But even those that exist give hope that this tomato is very promising and reliable for planting in the most unpredictable conditions.

Alena, 38 years old, Oryol
We read about the emergence of a new hybrid and decided, together with friends, to buy seeds of different varieties, including Lyubasha. The weather this year was not at all tomato - cold, rains, and then the heat came. But, interestingly, almost all the bushes were struck by late blight, only Lyubasha resisted. True, we processed everything with Em-kami, so our tomatoes still ripened and other varieties too, but still Lyubasha amazed me with her persistence, yield, and taste. We have made so much of all kinds of tasty tomato products for the winter - we will now remember about it in winter as well. The only pity is that she is a hybrid, it is useless to leave her for seeds, all the same, nothing good will grow.
Victor, 44 years old, Tambov
I bought seeds in a store and sellers advised me to try a new variety of tomatoes, which ripens earlier than anyone else. I have a large greenhouse, but I decided to divide the grown seedlings and planted 10 bushes under polycarbonate and 10 bushes in open ground. At first, the bushes developed very well, but then I had to leave for a couple of weeks and all this time it rained in an endless stream. By our arrival, all the tomato bushes in the open field turned black from phytophthora. But we nevertheless decided to try to cure them with the help of EM drugs. They managed to save part of the crop, but the difference was big. In the greenhouse, almost five kilograms of wonderful, tasty tomatoes were collected from each bush. Well, on the beds, there was still a harvest, but half as much and later by several weeks. Despite the fact that instead of dressing, I just planted them initially in humus-rich soil and that's it.

Conclusion

Due to its many valuable characteristics, the Lyubasha tomato hybrid is quite worthy of being included in the list of tomatoes grown on your site. Even if you do not respect hybrids, you can make an exception and try to grow Lyubasha in order to form your own opinion about this new product.

  1. Tomato seeds "Lyubasha" can be bought in any specialized store, but pay attention to the packaging, where the inscription "F1" should be. It will mean that the package contains the seeds of a hybrid, not a pure variety.

  2. Difficult weather conditions did not affect the appearance and quality of the products. If nearby bushes were affected by apical rot, then not a single fruit was damaged on Lyubasha.
